Car Sound Deadening Mat | Dodo Dead Mat Hex Roll

Dodo Dead Mat Hex is a professional grade car sound deadening mat designed to eliminate panel vibration, structural noise and road noise from cars, vans and campervans. Using a high grade synthetic butyl compound with a unique hex embossed aluminium facing, this car sound deadening mat deadens metal panels quickly and effectively with a simple peel and stick application — no specialist tools required.

Why Choose Dodo Dead Mat Hex Car Sound Deadening Mat

High Grade Butyl Construction

The synthetic butyl core is what makes Dodo Dead Mat Hex one of the most effective car sound deadening mats available. Butyl outperforms bitumen-based alternatives in both sound deadening performance and flexibility, remaining soft and workable even in cold conditions. The unique Dodo specification chemistry effectively kills panel vibration without the excessive bulk of competitor products.

Hex Embossed Aluminium Facing

The distinctive hex embossed top sheet is specifically designed to aid installation and mould easily around complex curved surfaces. This added flexibility allows the mat to be supplied in larger single sheet rolls for improved fit and a cleaner finish, minimising creases and folds on difficult panel shapes — particularly useful for door cards, wheel arches and roof panels.

Large Bulk Roll Format

Supplied as a single extra large 60cm x 583cm roll covering 3.5m², Dodo Dead Mat Hex is ideal for full vehicle treatments and large area coverage. The bulk roll format minimises joins for a cleaner installation and is perfect for van conversions and campervan builds where large floor and wall areas need treating in one go.

Simple Peel and Stick Application

No adhesive, no primer, no specialist tools. Cut to size, peel the backing and press firmly onto any clean interior sheet metal surface. The strong self-adhesive backing bonds immediately and permanently to vehicle panels, floors, doors, roofs and side panels.

Heat and Water Resistant

Dodo Dead Mat Hex is heat resistant from -40°C to +120°C making it suitable for use near engine bays, exhaust tunnels and floor areas exposed to significant heat. Fully water and oil resistant — unaffected by moisture, condensation or spillage once installed.

Where to Use This Car Sound Deadening Mat

  • Car and van door panels
  • Vehicle floors and transmission tunnels
  • Wheel arches and inner wings
  • Roof panels and headliner areas
  • Side panels in van and campervan conversions
  • Engine bay firewall deadening

You can contact our team via email or phone for guidance — we’ll ask about your space and requirements and recommend the best acoustic solutions tailored to your project.

Yes. Combining absorption (to control echoes) with insulation or isolation (to block transmission) often yields the best overall acoustic environment, especially for flats, apartments, studios, or high-noise spaces.
