Car Sound Deadening Mat | Dodo Mat DEADN DUO Roll

Dodo Mat DEADN DUO is a two-in-one car sound deadening mat that combines vibration damping, noise reduction and thermal insulation in a single peel and stick application. With a 1.5mm pure butyl deadening layer bonded to a 3mm closed cell foam insulation layer, this car sound deadening mat is the ideal solution for vehicle floors, boot areas, doors and side panels where both acoustic and thermal performance are required in one product.

Why Choose Dodo Mat DEADN DUO Car Sound Deadening Mat

Two Essential Layers in One Application

Most vehicle sound deadening installations require two separate products — a butyl deadening layer and a foam insulation layer applied on top. Dodo Mat DEADN DUO combines both into a single 4.5mm product, saving time and simplifying installation without compromising on performance. One application delivers vibration damping, airborne noise reduction and thermal insulation simultaneously.

1.5mm Butyl Rubber Deadening Layer

The base layer of this car sound deadening mat uses 1.5mm pure butyl rubber with more rubber and less mineral filler than competitor products — delivering better vibration damping and noise reduction per millimetre of thickness. Applied directly to the vehicle’s sheet metal, it eliminates panel resonance and structural noise at source.

3mm Closed Cell Foam Insulation Layer

The integral Dodo Super Liner top layer is a special formulation closed cell thermo-acoustic foam with excellent thermal and acoustic properties. It acts as a thermal barrier to stabilise cabin temperatures year-round, reduces condensation forming on cold panels, and provides an additional layer of airborne noise reduction on top of the butyl deadening layer beneath.

Flexible and Easy to Install

At 4.5mm total thickness, Dodo Mat DEADN DUO remains soft and flexible without requiring heat for application. It can be cut to size with standard scissors or a craft knife and pressed firmly into place — ideal for complex curved surfaces, wheel arches and floor areas with irregular profiles.

Heat and Water Resistant

Heat resistant from -50°C to +150°C and fully water and oil resistant, making it suitable for use on floors, transmission tunnels and areas exposed to heat, moisture and road spray. Flammability tested to ISO 3795:1989 for vehicle interior use.

Where to Use Dodo Mat DEADN DUO

  • Vehicle floors and transmission tunnels
  • Boot and load area floors in vans and campervans
  • Door cards and side panels
  • Wheel arches and inner wings
  • Classic car and 4×4 panels where a smooth black finish is preferred
  • Low profile load area underlay for van and campervan conversions

Need a Custom Acoustic Solution?

Every space is different. Tell us about your project and we will find the right solution for you.

Have any questions?

Do you ship across Ireland, and how is shipping calculated?

Yes, we supply nationwide. Shipping varies depending on product type and quantity — for large or heavy items (boards, MLV, rolls) it may differ. Contact us if you have any questions.

You can contact our team via email or phone for guidance — we’ll ask about your space and requirements and recommend the best acoustic solutions tailored to your project.

Yes. Combining absorption (to control echoes) with insulation or isolation (to block transmission) often yields the best overall acoustic environment, especially for flats, apartments, studios, or high-noise spaces.
