AM Noise Pro – Acoustic Curtains

These Acoustic Curtains are a  double-layer curtain, designed to deliver higher levels of sound absorption and room comfort.

    Key Specifications:

    • Curtain Type: Double-layer (labeled 2600)

    • Grommets: 40 mm, spaced every 20 cm

    • Density: 2600 g/m²

    • Sound Absorption: 15–25 dB (depending on weight per m²)

    • Thermal Insulation: 50–60% (depending on weight per m²)

    • Blackout Capability: 100% (depending on weight per m²)

    • Value: Excellent price-to-performance ratio

    Applications:
Acoustic curtains such as the deNoise 2600 can be applied in a wide range of environments:

    • As a barrier behind windows to reduce noise penetration

    • As a window blackout solution while also reducing heat transfer

    • As thermal insulation during colder months

    • To reduce reverberation within a space, improving speech clarity and overall sound quality

    • In content creation environments such as voice-over, music recording, or podcasting

    • In offices, large halls, film/video production spaces, and concert halls where acoustic enhancement is required

    Additional Benefits:
By reducing room reverberation, these curtains enhance comfort for conversation and listening, while also preventing sound leakage into surrounding spaces — a benefit particularly valued by musicians (e.g., drummers, saxophonists) and recording professionals.

    Location of grommets

    P1111264

The distance of the inner opening of the 40mm grommets, which slide along your curtain rod, is 5 cm from the top edge of the curtain. Therefore, when planning the curtain length you wish to order, it’s good to keep this in mind. Note: Please also be aware that the curtains are made with a tolerance of +/- 2 cm, so we recommend leaving about 3 cm of space from the floor to avoid the curtain dragging on the ground.

    Mounting:

    deNoise_PRO-soundproof_curtain_40mm_2

On the upper side you will find high-quality 40mm grommets in nickel colour at approximately 20cm intervals, so you can hang the curtains on a hanging rod with a diameter of up to 35mm. The soundproofing curtains are very heavy, this double layered version of for example 150x220cm has a weight of 9,5kg and in larger windows the curtain rod should not only hold the right and left side but also the middle. If you don’t want to have the curtain rod holder also in the middle, you need to use a metal rod made of thick quality material that won’t sag too much.

Surface material of the curtain (front side):

The soundproof curtains use high quality blackout fabric as the surface material, ensuring a perfect appearance and a 100% blackout effect.

    Curtain filling:

    detail_vyrez_deky

AM deNoise lining (in two layers) is used as the curtain’s filling, using health safe recycled fibres made from a blend of cotton and polyester, and thanks to the large amount of this unique filling, the acoustic curtains have a great ability to absorb sound in a wide range of frequencies, thus providing a soundproofing effect.

    Curtain backside:

    deNoise_PRO-soundproof_curtain_40mm_4

The backside of the soundproof curtain is made of black polyester fabric, complemented by regular black stitching every 5 centimeters. This construction ensures that the inner filling remains stable and firmly in place without any movement.

    Soundproofing:

Our soundproof curtains, with a huge weight of 1550 up to 2850g per m² (double-layer version), create a strong barrier against noise. That’s why many of our customers use them to create a barrier against outside noise by replacing their existing curtains with our soundproof curtains.

It’s important to note, that the de Noise soundproof curtains don’t work by completely blocking out all sound, but they work by “absorbing sound.” They absorb a significant amount of noise as it enters the room, preventing it from lingering, hence acting as both soundproof and acoustic curtains. This principle is used by all acoustic and soundproof curtains on the market. However, the VB2GO deNoise PRO product has significantly greater weight per m² than most other acoustic and soundproof curtains on the market, making it much more effective in soundproofing and sound absorption.

The degree of outdoor noise reduction also depends on the sound properties. Low-frequency sounds like dance music are absorbed less, whereas higher-pitched sounds like sirens, speech, singing, or noises like dog barking, lawnmowers, and sawing are absorbed more.

    Sound absorption:

Using acoustic curtains is the cheapest and most reliable way to reduce the noise coming into the room, improve the sound when recording with a microphone, improve clarity when communicating or mute the sound coming from your drum kit by absorbing that sound before it starts to disturb someone else somewhere else.

    NRC_chart_reduction_ratio

As you can see in the graph above, when the acoustic curtain is hung in a straight line, the attenuation at medium frequencies (above 400Hz) is more than 1.0 (i.e. 100% of the noise above 400Hz hitting the curtain is absorbed), at 250Hz the NRC is 0.8, at 200Hz – 0.6, at 160Hz – 0.5, at 125Hz – 0.3 and at 100Hz – 0.15.

The acoustic curtain not only has sound absorbing properties, but also significantly improves the acoustics (echo) in your room, thanks to two layers of acoustic material with a total weight of 2.85kg per m2.

NRC measurements are used for all acoustic materials to allow you to easily compare their properties across different manufacturers, so you can easily compare the sound absorption performance of our acoustic curtains with other products.

Hanging the curtain in a wavy pattern will increase its effectiveness by a around 15%.

Excellent for Podcasts and Video Production:

If you’re recording your podcasts and interviews, or any video involving spoken word, musical instruments, or singing, you need to record the sound of that conversation as well as possible, particularly without the reverberations of the space. Soundproof curtains are perfect for this because you don’t have to stick them to anything. You simply hang them on a structure, giving your content a professional touch.

    Darkening:

AM deNoise  blackout curtains have blackout fabric on their surface and a very high, weight of 1550 up to 2850g per m² (double-layer version). This can only be achieved by ensuring the curtain is not made up of just several layers of fabrics stacked together but must contain filling. The combination of blackout fabric and deNoise lining ensures that the curtain doesn’t allow direct sunlight to pass through.

    Suitable for Offices:

    deNoise_PRO-soundproof_curtain_40mm_5

These soundproof curtains are also suitable for use in offices and commercial spaces to reduce reverberation because reducing reverberation significantly improves clarity, allowing better communication between clients and among colleagues in your business space or offices.

    Acoustic Solution for Large Spaces:

Soundproof curtains can also be used in large open spaces to reduce reverberation and create suitable areas for conferences, recording, or music and speech reproduction because of their high effectiveness and low cost. Covering large spaces economically and quickly is possible due to their size.

    Enhancing Effectiveness:

If you want to achieve even better sound absorption results (soundproofing), we recommend leaving approximately 5-8 cm of space between the wall and the soundproof curtains. This air gap will make them even more effective.

Another significant way to increase the effectiveness of sound absorption and thus the soundproofing of deNoise PRO soundproof curtains is to hang them in a wavy manner with waves approximately 15cm apart, providing a 15% higher efficiency.

Our range of curtains with 40mm eyelets for direct hanging on a curtain rod is more suitable for this type of wavy hanging because the rod passes through the eyelets, creating a naturally wavy effect in the curtains.

    Cleaning:

Soundproof curtains can be washed in a washing machine capable of washing at least 15kg of laundry (depending on the model purchased).
However, you may not be able to wash such heavy soundproof curtains in domestic conditions, you will need to take them to a local laundromat that has high-capacity washers and dryers. This eliminates the need to remove dust during fixed installations. Simply remove the curtains, take them for washing, and then rehang them.

    Available curtain colours:

    main_foto-artickel

We supply soundproofing curtains in several colors, continuously expanding their range, and in the configurator above, you can select the name of the color you’re interested in. If you’re not sure how the color looks, in the overview of main photos there are photos of individual colors. W
